What users complain about

Trustpilot shows 4.7/5 from 1,025 reviews (Trustpilot page, counted 18 October 2026). Recurring complaints:

  • A user said about half the images were usable, with problems in faces, hair and eyes. (review)
  • A user who downloaded images just to look at them was then refused a refund. (review)
  • A user said uploads kept failing and they were billed anyway. (review)
  • An r/AI_Application user said BetterPic rejected photos and wanted an 80% “selfie score”. (Reddit)
  • r/PCPicker users note the paid extras ($8 edits, $10 redo). (Reddit)

Overall value verdict

BetterPic’s privacy policy is the most detailed here, but its default retention is long, so use the delete button when you’re done. The refund window is the tightest of the tools with clear prices, and edits cost extra. Its strengths are 4K output at every tier and EU storage.
