Overview

Copilot is free on the web and in Windows. Paid Copilot features now come bundled with Microsoft 365 consumer plans; the standalone Copilot Pro is no longer sold to new buyers.

Official site: Microsoft

The good

  • Free tier needs no subscription
  • Paid tier includes Office apps and cloud storage
  • Separate training switches for text and voice

The bad

  • Premium’s AI features are for the plan owner only, not family members
  • Bundling makes it hard to price the AI part alone
  • Copilot Pro buyers were moved off a standalone plan

Pricing

  • Microsoft 365 Family: $12.99/month

Overall value verdict

If you already pay for Microsoft 365, Copilot adds AI for no extra cost; if not, the bundle is a roundabout way to buy an assistant. Turn off both training switches.
